Can you transition from Chuck Berry into a Gospel message?
Chuck Berry, the iconic rock star that created some of 1950’s greatest hits, died over the weekend. Some would consider him one of the greatest musicians of all time, but none of that matters now. What does matter is whether or not Mr. Berry was born again.
Jesus said you must be born again to enter the kingdom of God, but how is that possible? Well, you see, we’re all born with a sinful nature or a desire to do things that displease God. For example, have you ever greedily desired something, like fame and fortune? That’s coveting and it’s a sin against God that will send you to Hell.
However, God wants to give you new life with new desires, so He sent Jesus Christ to earth. Jesus lived a perfect life and died on a cross as a sacrifice for your sin. He rose from the dead and offers you the new birth IF you turn from your sinful nature and trust in Him alone.
