How can you keep your pride in check when witnessing?
Pride can be a dangerous thing because it can cause us to look down on others who don’t possess the knowledge or skill that we have. What's even worse, is that it can cause us to get puffed up while out witnessing, instead of giving God the glory.
Many times in Scripture we see an emphasis on being humble. Even our Savior, Jesus Christ, humbled Himself and washed the feet of His disciples. We should always lift up Christ and lower ourselves.
Just remember, God is the one who saved you, and God is the one working in you to share the Gospel with others. He alone deserves the glory. So, if you struggle with pride, repent and turn your self-praise into God praise.
